Perfection in Imperfection

Wabisabi finds in roots in Chinese Zen Buddhism but is most famously tied to a tale dating back to 16th century Japan. As legend has it, the student of tea master Takeeono Joo, Sen no Rikyu, was tasked with preparing the garden. After cleaning the area to perfection, Rikyu shook the cherry tree so that the petals would fall, enhancing the beauty. The process of hand making the furoshiki series wallet leaves imperfections from product to product. Instead of minimizing these imperfections, they are instead embraced enhance the beauty and story each wallet tells. It doesn’t end there however, as the patina process the leather undergoes after use further builds the sincere beauty of your everyday carry.
